M-20 Ultra Air/Oil Separators remove the oil mist from the breather air, return
it to the oil sump and leave your belly shiny and clean. Acid in the water
vapor is vented with the breather air. M-20 has created a
new era of air/oil separation that really works.
As an exclusive benefit,
they allow you to fly with the full volume of oil without blowing away
even the top 2 quarts. Old designs, unable to separate, urge carrying oil 2
quarts low and then resort to a filter to hide the reduced blowby they
still could not separate. With
M-20's "full oil" separation ability, your engine gains from maximum cooling, cleaning
and lubrication.
Installation is easy. The small tubular body splices into the existing breather hose with
hose clamps. No mounting bracket is needed. Weights range from 5.5 to
6.5 ounces for various models. The oil return may be either to a crankcase plug or a bulkhead
hose barb fastened or welded into a rocker cover on any engine. A "Y" joint in the rocker box oil return
is an option on Lycomings
The M-20 STC covers all single and twin piston engine aircraft with flat opposed or
radial engines up to 950 HP. An additional, unique separator is available
to clean up wet vacuum pumps very high
pressure discharge.
